What Rachin Ravindra’s Father had to say regarding his son’s name:

Contrary to recent claims, there have been reports suggesting that Rachin Ravindra’s name is attributed to his father, Krishnamurthy, rather than being inspired by legendary Indian cricketers Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid. Rachin Ravindra’s Father Krishnamurti is generally fond of cricket. He is fond of Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid. Rahul Dravid’s ‘Ra’ and Sachin Tendulkar’s ‘Sachi’ have been named ‘Rachin’ to coincide with their names. He recently responded to these reports and claimed that the name was not intentionally given.

Rachin Ravindra’s Father responded that “When Rachin was born, my wife suggested a name. We didn’t even take much time to discuss that name. Because the name is good. Easy to pronounce. As well as small. So, we decided to name it after that. A few years later, it was revealed that the name Rachin was a combination of Sachin and Dravid’s names. But I didn’t name my son intentionally to make him a cricketer.” said Rachin Ravindra’s Father.
